If there was it seems to have been a rum one. Everyone's a bit down in the dumps, and not in the pleasantly sozzled the night before way, either.

I don't think so. I don't think one typically wins anything for becoming stewed to the gills beyond a headache the next morning.

Not usually, although sometimes one hears of particularly experimental drinks especially when the party goers are already full to the back teeth.
